Post Bolt size for the dog guard
I've sourced an excellent dog guard now many thanks Alex, hope the rest of your journey went well.

Question I have is does any one know the correct size bolts for fixing the brackets to the car ie. thread & length?

Have you checked to see if you already have the mounting points ? if not then you need rivnuts and i think i used 8mm bolts assuming its the same on all disco's (mines a late disco 1)
let me know how you get on as i think i still have the instuctions somewhere for the genuine one and obviously i dont need them as mine is already in

To be honest I assumed there would be a mounting points behind the trim and I just needed to remove the trim drill that and bolt the brackets in. I will check behind the trim @ the weekend thanks for the info Wozza.

No he might need RIVNUTS not rivets I know when i fitted mine there were no mounting points but in the instructions it gave the dimensions of where to drill and what size rivnuts to use
but if its already had a dogguard at some point it may have already been done

I now have one very unhappy dog Crying or Very sad No more jumping from the back onto the seats and no more muddy paws on my upholstery she's where she belongs in the back:lol: Laughing

I managed to sneak an hour this afternoon and as wozza said I had to drill to fit the guard but dead easy once I had it levelled up right to clear the rear load cover housing.

Many thanks for the advice.

Now all I need is a guard thats soundproof to seperate the 2 front seats to keep the girlfriend in line? Shocked
