Wales and the Lakes are both excellent. Though I must say the only experience I had of Wales was Bala so I wouldn't claim in depth knowledge.
In the Lakes the South Lakes area particularly is rich in tracks with minimal travel between them. Tracks range for Freelander friendly through to "Oh my God I'll never get up there!" (don't they Chappers

).
If you intend going to the Lakes let me know and I can put together a set of lanes for you that are suitable to your requirements if that would help. Some lanes have specific requirements on them (Grizedale 'The Fox', High Tilberthwaite and Rusland Pool for example) so please ensure you are familiar with those requirements up front.

Don’t argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience
