The good performance shown by Land Rover’s Discovery 4 and Range Rover Sport models has resulted in surging sales with the company reporting a high 93 per cent year-on-year in the final quarter of 2009. Land Rover UK managing director, John Edwards, said, "2009 has been a very hard year for the motor industry, particularly in the premium segment. However, Land Rover made some tough decisions and restructured our business model to ensure that we were in a strong position to weather the storm”. The new 2010 model range has ensured the latest, most efficient, and technologically advanced line-up Land Rover has ever had. The sales for Land Rover Discovery 4 and Range Rover Sport specifically have improved by 115% and 116% respectively for the last quarter of 2009 compared to 2008, accounting to its huge demand in the UK market. The new series 5.0-litre supercharged engine, complimented with the more economical yet powerful 3.6-litre TDV8 and spectacular driving dynamics, strengthen the Range Rover's position as the ultimate SUV. Also the Rover Discovery 4 has grabbed a number of global laurels since its launch in September 2009. The company reported improvements in all its UK, US, China, Italy and Russia markets year on year for the last quarter have been recorded across the globe, with the US up 21% and Europe up 12%.

Canada: Land Rover made the Canadian debut of the Range Rover Autobiography and Range Rover Sport Autobiography Limited Edition at the Montreal, Quebec International Auto Show. For 2010, Land Rover’s flagship Range Rover offers a new supercharged LR-V8 engine, revolutionary interior technologies and enhanced driving dynamics and a series of further refinements made their Canadian debut at the show, with the focus on enhanced luxury for rear-seat passengers. Land Rover is introducing electronically-controlled reclining rear seats, which will be especially valued by chauffeur-driven customers. The seats can be independently controlled by the left and right seat passengers; heated and cooled seats, four-way adjustable lumbar support, and airline-style winged head restraints are available. When the front passenger seat is unoccupied, rear-seat passengers can remotely move it to its forward-most position for increased leg room. Interior noise levels are reduced by the addition of laminated rear door privacy glass. The Autobiography series also adds four new interior colour combinations, and the availability of a Logic 7 1,200-watt Harman Kardon High Dynamics audio system with 19 speakers and 15 independent channels. The Range Rover Sport lineup will feature a new Autobiography Package available in the 510-horsepower Supercharged edition for 2010, including new two-tone leather, rear entertainment system, adaptive cruise control, rear differential lock, mesh grille, and custom 20-inch diameter wheels.

Germany: Land Rover's bold LRX concept is inching closer to production, as reports have surfaced about a development vehicle undergoing testing at Germany's famous Nurburgring. Wearing an LR2 body, the mule appears to have a shortened rear end and revised front fascia. While details are limited,it is suggested that the LRX will likely be powered by a 3.2-litre, petrol, in-line six and a 2.2-litre, four-cylinder turbo diesel engine in foreign markets. A hybrid 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine may also be offered. Set to receive the prestigious Range Rover Badge, the LRX may be available in three-door and five-door variants. The production model will also be taller than the concept to allow for added headroom.
