Crowds flock to LRO Billing Show Four or five years ago, attendances at the Billing Show were in steep decline and it appeared to be on its last legs. But since LRO magazine and the Live Promotions team took control a couple of years back, new life has been breathed into the old event and it is fast approaching the sell-out success of its peak years in the late 1990s. Don’t just take our word for it. Billing Aquadrome confirmed that the numbers of people through the gates on the Saturday were the highest the venue had seen for seven years – with 10,000 day visitors on site in addition to the thousands of campers and weekend visitors already present. In fact by lunchtime the car parks were overflowing and270 had to be re-directed to an emergency overflow car park in a nearby farmer’s field. If you missed the LRO Billing Show, then you missed out. But you will be able to share in the fun in the September issue of LRO, which will carry a full report and hundreds of pictures from the event.
