This LRO reader emailed LRO.email@example.com looking for help with an engine and clutch issue.
A few weeks ago, my 2006 Defender 110 Td5’s engine started to run on when I changed gear (the revs don’t seem to die away properly when I lift off the accelerator). This delay in the revs dying away doesn’t seem to happen when I’m not changing gear. Someone suggested changing the diesel but that hasn’t worked.

This will most probably be the switch on the clutch pedal - you can easily check if it is by disconnecting the switch and driving the vehicle. If the ‘running on’ stops, it’s because the vehicle will now run at a default setting. The you quite simply need to replace the switch.
