This LRO reader emailed LRO.email@example.com to ask Steve Jones about heater wires on his Land Rover Series III 88".
I’ve just fnished restoring the heater blower from my 88-inch 1972 Series III – but I can’t ifgure out the wiring. There are three components: the motor, the resistor and a metal box that I can’t find any reference to anywhere! All this has to connect together somehow and end up as two wires to the switch. Please help!

The wiring is fairly straightforward. The slow speed is via the resistor usually fitted into the air box for cooling. You’ll need your ohmmeter to sort out the connections.
