This LRO reader emailed LRO.firstname.lastname@example.org to ask for advice about fitting a 109in brake master cylinder on his standard Series III 88in.
I’m overhauling the brake system on my 1973 88in SIII. I’m thinking of using a 109in brake master cylinder (569128) instead of the standard 88in one. Will it fit and will I get a significant improvement in braking action power?

The 109in master cylinder is a direct replacement and will move more fluid thanks to its larger bore. It won’t give a huge improvement, though – servo-assistance would be more noticeable.
