This LRO reader emailed LRO.firstname.lastname@example.org to ask Julian Gilling about fitting Range Rover P38 seats into a Classic.
Will P38 seats fit in a Range Rover Classic? And if they do, is it an easy fit?
Alan Barker, Leatherhead, Surrey
The physical fitting of them should be straightforward, because the seat-mounted runners are parallel and level (about 19 inches to the outside edge on both sets). Some minor tweaking may be needed to align the fitment, but nothing too hard. However, you should ensure that you’re fitting the manually-adjusted seats from a P38, as the controls for the electrically adjusted versions fall within the BECM unit, and would be a complex job to emulate in a Classic.
