The LRCP organised a convoy of Land Rovers to follow the final journey of 'Jimmy' on October 8.
Jimmy, of San Juan City, Metro Manila passed away on Friday, October 4 at Cardinal Santos Medical Center, where he was formerly employed as the chief operating officer.
In 1998, Jimmy organised a meeting of Land Rover owners at McDonald’s at Greenhills Shopping Center, where he met Bert Ilagan, Dale Abenojar and Robby Consunji.
This initial group explored the trails to Mount Pinatubo through Capas, Tarlac and through Sapang Bato, Angeles City. Chito Rojas, Kirk Arambulo, and Robert Araneta Singh later joined the group of Land Rover owners and enthusiasts. After an offroad trail to Sapang Bato in 1998, the group had the idea of creating the Land Rover Club of the Philippines.
Jimmy, an alumni of the Ateneo De Manila University, is survived by his wife Susan and three children.
