Wooden Spoon is rugby’s charity for disadvantaged children and last year it took over the running of the annual Exmoor 4x4 Jaunt and Challenge to raise much needed funds. This year an extra boost is needed to get even more teams and hit the charity's highest ever fundraising target!
Over the weekend of 20/2 March, 4x4-ers of all abilities will arrive at Wheddon Cross to take part in the '4x4 on Exmoor Jaunt and Challenge' to enjoy a fantastic, fully-catered weekend of off-roading and socialising with unique access to some of the most stunning and challenging Exmoor countryside whilst raising money for Children’s Charity Wooden Spoon. Vehicles will navigate either the Jaunt or Challenge in teams of three vehicles with the minimum of one driver and one navigator per vehicle;
?The Jaunt is made up of a number of off-road sections of varying difficulties and is suitable for families, people of all skill ranges and most types of 4x4. Children in road-legal seats with seatbelts are more than welcome to take part in the Jaunt.??The Challenge is more demanding than the Jaunt, therefore reasonable skills and a suitable vehicle are deemed necessary. Each team of three vehicles will need at least one winch. Over 12s only. 2009 challenger Neal Devere-Wilkinson said, 'What an enjoyable, fun and rewarding weekend. Everything from the organisation to the food was first class, I would highly recommend the weekend to any 4x4 driver.'
