This weekend's Range Rover 40th celebration at Gaydon is being run by the RRR as part of the annual Heritage Land Rover Show. Here's what you can expect to see over the weekend;
Saturday: as well as vehicle displays there will be a slide show talk by Geoff Miller, the former Project Engineer on the development of the Range Rover and its launch in 1970 and a talk on the Range Rover's future by a Land Rover representative. Land Rover Experience will be on site giving demonstration rides around the 4x4 course. Range Rover video footage from 1970-onwards will be showing throughout the day in the museum's cinema and there will be Velar proptypes and RRR vehicle display stands plus all the usual HMC activities and other Land Rover Clubs.
Sunday: Land Rover Heritage Run. This year will see both the usual Land Rover Run and a second cavalcade exclusive to Range Rovers, to celebrate 40 years of production. Radio 2's Lynn Bowles will be there to witness the action. Details on HMC website www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk or
LRO magazine is attending the show on both days – we're by the museum entrance on the left. Do come along for a chat.
