JE engineering will be holding an Open Day on Sunday September 26 to coincide with the Coventry Airbase ‘Fly-in’ supporting ‘Help for Heroes’. JE are inviting all Land Rover enthusiasts to visit and actively support the 'Fly-in' and its most worthy cause by augmenting the day at JE with a visit to the Airport. Check out full details of the Coventry Airport event at www.helpforheroes.org.uk
We know how important Help for Heroes is so a paid visit to the concurrent Coventry Fly-in would be appreciated by all. The Vulcan arrives at 10.30 – 1100 right over the JE roof! There is nothing, absolutely nothing like it. Add to that the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, sundry other Spits and Hurries, Tornado, Dakota, Rapide, Apache, Prentice and Lord knows what else and you have an un-missable event.
JE customers will know that our premises are situated in Siskin Drive which is, literally, right at the end of the runway at Coventry Airport. On September 26, some of the most iconic aircraft in British aviation history will be flying over our works at rooftop height! Types include Spitfire, Hurricane, Meteor, Vampire, Venom and Tornado to name but a few. However, the star attraction just has to be the mighty Vulcan V-Bomber. If you haven’t experienced the ‘Vulcan Effect’ you haven’t lived!
JE will have on hand its mighty ‘Zulu’ SuperDefender for test rides and drives. Also on hand will be the ‘Saluki’ TDV6 Defender and many other exciting cars. Visitors will be given guided tours of the JE workshops including the engine build shop and the dyno cells where engines will be up and running. Food and drink will, of course, be in plentiful supply! What better way to spend an autumn day?
