Damyns Hall Aerodrome is an excellent location for the Military and Flying Machines show with its distinctive, peaceful vintage feel and located just minutes from the M25 and Lakeside Shopping Centre situated close on the Essex/Kent border and close to London with easy access from the M25/A13.
With over three hundred historic military vehicles of all nationalities and periods attending it is hard to mention them all but the show will be celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Jeep. Many will be attending the show in various different guises from the earliest to the last and on to its worthy succcessors the Austin Champ and the Land Rover. There will be a Tank Parade, always a popular feature of the show. With more than ten tanks and other armoured vehicles you can feel the ground shake as they go past! This year, the show welcomes classic cars providing a fascinating insight to our motoring heritage, in attendance will be period sports cars to a 1940 vintage battery powered milk float!!
The Spirit of Kent Spitfire with Dan Griffiths will again be performing at the show. Dan’s displays at Military and Flying Machines have taken on a near legendary status and become some of the most popular You Tube videos! With over sixty living history displays in attendance representing many periods from medieval to the more recent Desert War conflicts a true representation of military history and the equipment used will be on display.
