The Borders Hill Rally is probably the biggest, toughest, Cross Country Hill Rally racing event in the UK. Sold out in 2009 and 2010, it truly tests the stamina and endurance of both crew and car. This is a driver’s race; winning (or losing!) is down to their decisions, the skills of the navigator, and the reliability of the car over gruelling laps on the hill rally circuit. With entries flowing in from all over the UK, it’s looking like the place to be for fast cross country thrills this November.
?Race Director Ian Stuart explained, 'This event is specifically pitched to satisfy the demands of the seasoned campaigner and the novice driver: short simple road sections make the navigator's job easier, whilst the long straights will permit drivers to go as fast as their nerve will allow them - and we even have a Trophy specifically for the highest placed Novice Crew. There are over 100 miles of fast flowing stages for drivers to attack, with the added spice of gnarly off-road sections, and spectators will enjoy the action.'
Date: November 19=20 2011
Place: Forrest Estate, St Johns Town of Dalry, Castle Douglas, DG7 3XS.
