As the sun rises over the white cliffs of Dover on Tuesday September 23, 13 vehicles will set sail for the beaches of Normandy. They will be retracing the steps of our troops all those years ago. Eric from Mud Plug in France will escort this noble squadron through the lanes and tracks of Northern France to the battlefields, memorials and historic beaches where so many lost their lives in WW1 and WW2.
This unique special operation will consist of Civilians and Servicemen and Women raising awareness and funds for Project Mobility 4x4. The brief is simple; raise a minimum of £250 per vehicle in sponsorship plus the Booking Fee of £35 per person which includes all the paperwork, event jumper and car sticker and join the BB team. The cost of accommodation, food and fuel is your own for this 500 mile and five day round trip.
Step through history, pay your respects but more importantly feel the camaraderie of this group, the last day is a rest day in Bayeux and a chance to see the historic tapestry and cathedral. The main aim from the fundraising is to support the four vehicles joining with injured servicemen, so they can have an adventure alongside the abled-bodied. Project Mobility will be running an equipped mobile support unit as well as three other adapted vehicles. With limited places, be sure to join this fantastic cause and exciting event. There will be some unique insights and also a chance to see some interesting vehicles. For more information visit www.liveit4x4.com
