Green Oval Racing is a brand new concept in the world of motorsport, Land Rovers, performance 4x4s and track days. Aimed at enthusiasts who have tuned or modified their Land Rover towards fast road use, Green Oval Racing offers the opportunity to these enthusiasts to try some of the top racing circuits in the UK and Europe. A Green Oval Racing day is not designed to run as a ‘normal’ track day but is packaged so that lunch, refreshments and numerous other off-circuit activities such as autotesting, are included in the price.
There is a highly qualified team of ARDS-approved instructors on hand throughout the day giving drivers the chance to learn more about how to handle their vehicle at high speed and pick up techniques to help reduce lap times and improve driving skills. A variety of traders will be present at each event to offer services such as demonstration laps, on the spot tuning and advice as well as new parts and a tyre fitting service. At the end of each day there are a number of awards, including one for the most improved driver.
'I didn’t want this to be just another track day company', said Toby Barlow,
Managing Director of Green Oval Racing, 'I want to offer the best service and facilities to real enthusiasts while keeping the cost down as the main objective for the whole company was to offer the absolute best package for an honest price.'
Alongside the track day company, there will also be a Performance 4x4 club, for owners of fast Land Rovers in the main, but all fast 4x4 owners are more than welcome. The club, called 4Speed, will be present at the Billing Land Rover Show 2010 alongside Green Oval Racing and its inaugural event will be at the end of the Summer when the club takes 20 vehicles to the Nurburgring in Germany.
The first official track day will be on November 3 at Cadwell Park in Leicestershire. For further details please contact email@example.com and the order books for both the club and the track days are open already.
