The Times Top 100 Graduate Employers Index is regarded as the bench-mark award for graduate recruiters in the UK, and because it is based on a survey conducted by interviewing thousands of graduates each year, it is held in high regard by graduates themselves.
Jaguar Land Rover HR Director, Des Thurlby, commented, 'This is a great achievement for the organisation. It underlines all of the co-ordinated efforts that we have made in the last few years to establish ourselves as a serious destination for graduates wishing to forge a career with an innovative, highly regarded organisation. We value our current employees, but recognise that we need to invest in further talent across the business in order to build for the future and develop the next generation of our award-winning products.'
More than 100 graduates joined Jaguar Land Rover last week and the company plans to recruit a further 130 graduates in 2011. Over the past three years Jaguar Land Rover has recruited more than 320 graduates. Carl Gilleard, Chairman of the Association of Graduate Recruiters said, 'It is really encouraging to see Jaguar Land Rover continuing to look positively to the future and investing in graduate talent, and this is reflected in the recognition that they are starting to achieve from graduates themselves.'
