The Beaulieu museum has now announced the opening of the Feats of Endurance exhibition on Wednesday 29th March. Brothers Bob ad Joe Ives from Hampshire won the Camel Trophy for GB in 1989 during an event in the Amazon basin. Their winning Land Rover, a One Ten Station Wagon is now on display at the National Motor Museum.
The Camel Defender features as the centre piece of the display and as a point of interest the 29th March 2011 will be the 22nd anniversary to the day, of the start of that particular Camel Trophy. Bob and club members from the Camel Trohy Owners Club built the display after the suggestion that 'Bob didn't want it just sitting flat on the floor'.
