Two Rotherham men have been charged with aggravated vehicle taking and dangerous driving after they were stopped by police in South Yorkshire. The men, aged 18 and 23, were arrested after police tried to stop a Land Rover Defender on the M1 motorway near Chesterfield. Police said the car failed to stop so officers followed it into South Yorkshire, where it was brought to a halt.
The Land Rover is alleged to have been stolen from a house on Chesterfield Road, Matlock. The 23-year-old is also charged with attempting to steal another Land Rover.
