Having run for three years now, LandRauvergne has become France’s largest Land Rover event. This year it attracted more than 570 Land Rovers and their passengers.
During the course of three days, visitors from Belgium, Holland, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK, and the locals had the opportunity to discover the Auvergne region's many wonders, enjoying various greenlanes around the village of Saint Nectaire.
The event is organized by Clermont Ferrand’s Land Rover dealership, headed by Samuel Rodrigues, along with Saint Nectaire mayor, Alphonse Bellonte, both backed by 100 volunteers, assuring the very best welcoming to the crowd. Attendees camped on site and were handed roadbooks to guide them along the local greenlanes. Also, visitors could test their Land Rover’s ability and their driving skills on the challenging trial sections within the site.
Samuel Rodrigues said attendance could easily rise to 700 Land Rovers next year and as Saint Nectaire is roughly 450 miles from the Calais coast, many Brits could head for Land Rauvergne as a week-long trip to France.
