The tragic shootings in Seal Beach, Southern California - Orange County's worst mass slaying - have spread their share of shock and unhappiness including to the American Land Rover community. Dave Caouette was one of the many victims; the married father of three, was the owner of a Land Rover Discovery with custom off-road rack, lights and tyres and a Land Rover Mission Viejo sticker from the dealership where he had previously worked, on the side. A longtime friend, Ed Testa, from off-roading trips with the Southern California Land Rover Club, is quoted as saying, 'He was in the wrong place at the wrong time and had no way to defend himself. We are just in disbelief that he could have been involved in this tragedy.'
With the death of Dave Caouette, the Land Rover community has lost one of its own. LRO offers its condolences to his family and friends.
