Jaguar Land Rover North America has reported its April 2012 sales: Land Rover sales for the month were 3292, up 10 per cent from 2982 in 2011; Jaguar sales for the month were 1073 down, 14 per cent from 1249 in 2011; Jaguar Land Rover North America sales for the month were 4365 up three per cent from 4231 units in 2011. Through the first four months of 2012 Jaguar Land Rover North America is up 22 per cent. 'Jaguar Land Rover’s April US sales this year were marginally higher than last year, helped by strong Range Rover Evoque sales,' said Andy Goss, President, Jaguar Land Rover North America, 'For the year we continue to see strength across the luxury sector with both Jaguar and Land Rover notching double digit gains in the U.S. market.'??For the month of April 2012, Land Rover sales were up 10 per cent continuing the momentum established over the last two years. For the first four months of 2012 Land Rover in the United States reached 13,951 units up 24 per cent. The volume leader for April, 2012 was the Range Rover Sport with 1199 units sold, down 10 percent from 2011. The all-new Range Rover Evoque, winner of the 2012 North American Truck of the Year, hit 806 units sold in April 2012. ??Land Rover's 2012 Model Year US line-up features four models; the 230bhp 3.2 litre, I-6 powered LR2; the LR4 powered by the 375bhp 5.0 litre V8; the Range Rover Sport and Range Rover, both available with the naturally-aspirated 375bhp V8 and 510-hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 powertrains. The 2012 Model Year Range Rover Evoque luxury compact SUV went on sale in October 2011. The 2012 Range Rover Evoque has a starting price of US$43,995 for the five-door, and US$44,995 for the coupe and achieves 28 MPG EPA highway and 18 MPG EPA city.
