Peter Bell, the innovator behind Bell Auto Services, is now offering a performance upgrade for the latest 2.2L TDCi Defender. The Land Rover now boasts similar performance to the 2.4 litre version in this tuned version, with an increase of 30 bhp and 80Nm. This, of course, takes the 2.2 litre model from the standard configuration of 122 bhp and 360 Nm to 152 bhp and 440Nm.
The remapping can also be used to remove the speed limiter while turning off the exhaust gas recycling (EGR) valve system and even the diesel particulate filter (DPF) if requested. Special introductory prices from £499+VAT.
The Yorkshire-based performance specialist also now offers a full on-board diagnostics (OBD) tuning service for the Range Rover Evoque and the Freelander 2. This means that vehicles can now be remapped without opening the ECU, something that is currently needed in the trade in order to upload the upgraded tuning package.
Peter Bell is renowned for his innovative work and achieved the first TDV6 and 3.2L TDCi Defender conversions as well as numerous Land Rover remaps. More info at www.bellautoservices.co.uk.
