Peckforton Castle in Cheshire unveiled its new quarry area in April, a £60,000 development of the Land Rover Experience centre's 600-acre site. The new centrepiece, designed by off-road track builders D3, includes a brand-new obstacle, nicknamed The Peanut. Its shape demands an angled approach and ensures that all four wheels get some serious air time, with the Evoque looking the most spectacular of all. The site also features extreme side slopes and a see-saw.
This can be seen from a unique viewing platform above the quarry, which enables visitors to see exactly what goes on outside the vehicles as they're tackling obstacles before having a go at taking on the terrain, under the guidance of the qualified instructors.
