Young women who have completed their GCSEs or A Levels and want to study an engineering degree or apprenticeship now have the opportunity to apply for Land Rover's new engineering bursary.
The scholarship will offer a viable income source to students, with £9,000 being awarded to three females over three years. Winners will also benefit from mentoring support from both Land Rover senior engineers and WISE representatives.
Currently, just 13% of the engineering workforce is female. Land Rover already runs specific training schemes to support female engineers and the addition of this scholarship further highlights Land Rover's commitment to increasing the number of female engineers in the UK.
With only one week left to apply, the Range Rover Evoque WISE Scholarship is open to any woman who has arranged an engineering based apprenticeship or has a confirmed place on a higher education engineering course.
