All Defender XS models, including the new Hardtop XS, will receive contrast leather premium seats in three possible colour schemes (Ebony/Pimento, Ebony/Tan or Ebony/Lunar) with inserts in the softer Windsor leather that also features in premium packages for Discovery and Range Rover models. Privacy glass is also available (excluding the rear door), as well as the option for side runners to be painted silver rather than the standard black. A new ebony Alston headliner, reserved until now for Range Rover models, will also feature across the XS range.
Order the Black Pack and you’ll get those contrast leather seats and privacy glass as standard, plus a Santorini Black paint finish on the roof, grille and grille surround, headlamp surrounds and wheel arches. Buyers can choose between gloss black Sawtooth alloys, or a set of steel Wolf wheels, also in gloss black… guess which we’d have!
If all that black is a bit too ‘gangsta’ for you, then you might find the Silver Pack, with its Indus Silver roof, grille surround, headlamp surrounds and fascia, a bit more appealing. You’ll also get five-spoke alloys and a ‘bright light pack’ incorporating white tail and indicator lenses.
Anti-lock brakes will also be available for the first time on all Defender 130s.
Expect to pay about £2500 extra for the Black and Silver packs. You can tell your dealer now if you’d like one, but you’ll have to wait until the summer before order books officially open.
