Powered by a re-tuned version of the SVR Sport's 542bhp supercharged V8 (SDV6 Hybrid or SDV8 diesel alternatives) and with a raft of solid aluminium details, the £149k SVO-developed SVAutobiography now tops the Range Rover L405 range. The Supercharged gets quad tailpipes, while two-tone bodywork, fold-out rear-facing 'event seating' (that looks like something out of 50 Shades of Grey) and a sliding boot floor are new options.
The Range Rover SVAutobiography will be on sale from summer 2015, priced from £148,900.
...and other improvements
For 2016 model-year Range Rover L405s, a new camera system boasts crisper graphics, while the rear-facing one gets a washer jet. There's Gesture Tailgate for hands-free boot-opening and Automatic Access Height that automatically lowers the vehicle when parked. The SDV6 Hybrid and SDV8 both claim fractionally lower CO2 emissions, with stop/start and All-Terrain Progress Control now options on the SDV8.
Starting price for the 2016 model year line-up is £74,950.
