Land Rover has had a lot to commemorate lately. Using the slogan #WeDealInReal, Land Rover is currently celebrating their vast history of supporting rugby around the world.
Currently, Land Rover has delivered a fleet of 450 vehicles, 80 per cent of which are Discovery Sports, with Range Rover, Discovery and Range Rover Sport making up the vehicle count to support the Rugby World Cup 2015.
The liveried fleet will provide high profile support for organisers, match officials and event staff, working across the 13 stadiums and 41 bases used by the 20 international teams taking part.
With 920 players and 1100 team staff set to contribute in the tournament, it would take 289 Discovery Sports to transport all 2020 participants, using all seven seats, naturally. There’s the new pub fact of the season.
Land Rover's Fleet and Business General Manager Jon Wackett said: 'We are proud and excited to be supporting Rugby World Cup 2015 as the tournament returns to the UK. Discovery Sport is the perfect vehicle to lead the fleet as its compact dimensions, flexible five-plus-two seating and advanced connectivity features provide versatility and capability in equal measure.'
The tournament starts on September 18, with the final taking place on Saturday October 31.
