With the biggest and best action on the Land Rover show calendar – compered by the inimitable Diana Tigwell – you’ll want to be sitting down for what we have in store…
John Lawn and Flatdog are building an incredible off-road course for our 2015 Peterborough show. It’ll feature their toughest-ever mixture of axle-twisters, steep climbs, descents, plus a few other surprises, for top winch challenge competitors to demonstrate their skills in our ‘King of the LRO Show’ spectacle twice a day - Saturday and Sunday.
Competitors have to try and match a secret time for completing the course, with penalties for going too fast, or too slow. This is no Micky Mouse activity however – despite breaking the pinion in his competition truck’s rear diff, Lawn won the inaugural LRO Challenge Cup last year with his immaculate Red Bull 90, closely followed by Drew Wright in his 300Tdi Discovery-based Off-Road Armoury Euro-fighter.
For those staying on the site for the weekend, there is a special treat with a night-time winch challenge demo – featuring added flames and fireworks!
