Land Rover's stand will showcase a range of special vehicles from the company's 67-year history, alongside one of the limited-edition Heritage models from the 2015 Defender Celebration Series. They’re expected to include the first production 86in Series I, the first diesel-engined Land Rover (a 109in Series I pick-up), as well as a Series II fire engine.
At the other end of the scale, the hugely popular remote control Defenders seen at events such as the Goodwood Festival of Speed will also be there for you (or your kids!) to try on a mini off-road course.
We’ll be celebrating the life of the Defender and its Series predecessors all weekend, including thrilling displays of Bowler's rally-prepared vehicles in our live action arena. And, on the Saturday we’ll have a special tribute to the 67-year life of the original Land Rover: a commemorative parade round the arena illustrating the evolution of the vehicle from Series I to Defender – hosted by LRO contributor and former Defender brand manager Mike Gould.
Land Rover will also mark 45 years since the ground-breaking Range Rover’s introduction in 1970 with a vehicle display including one of the early two-door Velar prototypes, a P38, L322 and L405.
Amazing displays from more than 60 Land Rover clubs at Peterborough, will represent a wide variety of models and regions from around the UK and overseas. Come and meet them, and sign up to enjoy your Land Rover even more! You can find the full club listing on LROshow.com
