Powered by JLR’s supercharged V6 petrol engine, mated to their silky-smooth ZF eight-speed gearbox… oh wait, sorry – wrong press release…
The prototype 90, unveiled at the Frankfurt motor show, showcases a working suspension, brakes and handbrake (which hopefully won’t get gear oil on it) with other Defender-inspired details including chequer plate, cylindrical running bars and skinny, mud terrain-lookalike tyres.
The lucky driver sits in a leather-trimmed interior within a scale aluminium body, hand finished in ‘proper’ Loire Blue. Underneath is an aluminium chassis complete with chassis number and personalised numberplate.
0-6mph acceleration is limited only by the number of Weetabix scoffed that morning.
Sadly the price tag isn’t mini… you’ll need about £10,000’s worth of pocket money. Sorry kids.
