Jaguar Land Rover is starting to make a bit of a habit of breaking their own records.
The company sold 25,127 vehicles in March, that’s 16% up on March 2015 and means its their best ever performance for the month.
But the good news doesn’t stop there. Overall sales for the company in the first quarter of the year were 23% up on the previous year’s first quarter with an overall total 35,444 vehicles sold.
Jaguar Land Rover is Britain’s largest automotive manufacturer and sells one car every two minutes in the UK. That means the company sells 45 cars in the time it takes to watch a football match.
Land Rover sold 19,472 vehicles in March, up 9% on the previous year with sales reaching 26,759 in the first quarter of 2016.
‘Yet again, our success has been spearheaded by continued customer demand for the all-conquering Range Rover Evoque and Land Rover Discovery Sport,’ said Jeremy Hicks, Jaguar Land Rover UK Managing Director.
The ever-popular Evoque continues to set the pace by outselling all other Land Rover models shifting 6048 in March with the Discovery Sport slightly behind selling 5787. The Range Rover Sport sold 2,596 and the Discovery sold 2,578.
