The five Defenders up for auction were among the last to be manufactured and boast virtually unused mechanicals.
The models going under the hammer are a:
- Defender 110 Limited edition Adventure
- Defender 110 Station Wagon; Defender 110 County Double Cab
- Defender 90 County Station Wagon
- Defender 90 Station Wagon
The Land Rovers come with more than two years’ manufacturers’ warranty and Land Rover breakdown cover for the period of the warranty.
A JCB spokesman said: “JCB has used Land Rovers for many decades and these particular models are surplus to requirements. We expect their appearance at the JCB Auction will generate a lot of interest.”
The Land Rovers will be up for sale on Tuesday, 20 September at 9.30am at an auction staged at JCB’s World Headquarters in Rocester, Staffordshire. The auction – which is the 45th hosted by JCB – will take place at the JCB Arena. Internet bids for all lots will also be accepted.
Potential buyers will be able to view the vehicles and other lots on Friday, 16 and Monday, 19 September between 11am and 5pm.
The highly-popular JCB auctions attract people from all around the UK and overseas. An event earlier this year generated interest from the UK, Europe, the USA, India, Israel, Australia, the Middle East and the Far East – with 96 machines and 500 lots of spares and attachments sold.
