The Reborn initiative was revealed earlier this year when Jaguar Land Rover’s Classic division announced it would be restoring an initial batch of 25 Series Is to their original factory specification. Now you can visit the workshops where this exacting work is taking place.
After donning a hi-vis bib and enjoying a freshly-brewed tea or coffee, while you watch the archive films and listen to the obligatory safety briefing, your £29 ticket will secure you a fascinating three-hour tour, taking you around the JLR Classic workshop at the Solihull factory.
Accompanied by a very knowledgeable guide, you’re invited to ask questions to ensure you get the most from the experience, even the busy craftsmen working on the restorations are more than happy to answer any queries. Tour also incorporates a scaled-down version of the former Celebration Tour, first created to mark the end of Defender production.
For £150 per person, as well as the tour you can get behind the wheel of a Defender and tackle the legendary off-road tracks used to put Land rovers through their paces on the famous Solihull Jungle Track.
Surely a must for any Series owner - book your tickets here.
