Residents of the West Midlands needn’t fear the winter freeze, thanks to Land Rover drivers from the 4x4 Response contingent of the Midland Rover Owners Club.
The club’s trained volunteers are on stand-by throughout the year, supporting emergency services and event management teams working in tough weather conditions. Critical callouts are often given to nurses and doctors requiring access to patients in rural areas, whose small roads are more easily blocked by ice and flooding.
The club is based in North Solihull, and its members cover a wider area. Emergency responses are managed by the CSW Resilience Team (Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire).
