This single-pivot wheel carrier is designed to fit a Defender without having to drill the bodywork. All of the weight is taken through a chassis-mounted arm, which can be used in conjunction with NAS rear steps. It's made from stainless steel and has adjustable ball joints to the rear door to cope with Defender build tolerances. Two holes in the chassis need enlarging from 8mm to 10mm. A powdercoated version is £570.

Neil says: 'Wheel carriers help reduce damage to the door by removing the load.'
